That old-fashioned cash is also accepted\, of course. \nSam Whitehouse is a singer and musician from the Boston area\, who performed throughout New York before finding her current musical home in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has traveled extensively throughout the USA\, Canada\, and Central America. \nHer sound is as sultry as it is heartfelt\, and with her warm\, endearing presence\, she invites the listener to join her in the music\, creating an atmosphere that feels like a personal\, intimate conversation with an old friend. \nElla Fitzgerald\, Dinah Washington\, Billie Holiday\, Etta James\, Janis Joplin\, and Bonnie Raitt are on the long list of legends that inspire her. Her style is also influenced by contemporary singers such as Lianne La Havas\, Melody Gardot\, Esperanza Spaulding\, Leela James\, and Norah Jones. \nIn addition to jazz and blues\, Sam is also fluent in pop\, rock\, funk\, R&B\, and neo soul. Her music is flavored by everything from Adele to Zero 7.
