What is Vocal Confidence Coaching?
The sound of your voice is a vital component of your identity. When people listen to you speak they can immediately discern many things about you such as age, gender, and culture of origin. They also hear your fear, joy, confidence, nervousness, authority, believability, and so much more. It makes sense, then, that allowing your voice to be heard in its fullest, most authentic form can be a tricky sometimes, or even downright scary.
Vocal Confidence Coaching pulls together a variety of exercises and modalities – including singing, to help you trust and appreciate the sound of your voice, while at the same time weaving in a deep sense of confidence in who you are and what you need to say, and combining all of that with the skills and tools you need to communicate clearly in any situation.

What will we work on?
This pragmatic and holistic style of coaching will take you all the way to the deepest foundations of your voice. You will feel more comfortable and confident in any situation in which you need to express yourself. As I mentioned above, this work pulls together a combination of exercises and modalities. It is built around three main pillars:

Voice:
- Developing clarity, power, control, and stamina.
- Understanding how the voice works and crafting a sound that represents your true self.
Self-Expression:
- Trusting your authentic self and clarifying what you want to say.
- Addressing limiting beliefs and replacing old patterns with confidence and safety.
Communication:
- Building the skills to communicate and present your ideas clearly in any situation.
- Cultivating the ability to foster relationships and deepen connections with others.
How is it structured?
You and I will discuss which issues you want to tackle and in what order. We’ll document our initial plan in your handbook and, based on your learning style and lifestyle, we will determine the perfect balance of guidance, support, structure and accountability that works for you. We’ll revisit the plan throughout our time together to check on milestones and to weave in new discoveries and topics that come up along the way.
We’ll do all of this through a combination of offerings:
1. (1) 90-min onboarding session.
I will thoughtfully guide you through a series of questions and personal inquiry to get to the heart of the transformation you’d like to experience and from it we’ll build our initial roadmap.
2. (2) 90-min 1-to-1 coaching sessions/month.
This is where we do the deep dive with guided discussions along with fun and experiential exercises.
3. Ongoing phone, email and text support.
The real work happens outside of our meetings as you practice and apply these new concepts in your daily life. Therefore, throughout the program we will continue our work in between meetings. We’ll review and evaluate your experiences, handle any blocks, celebrate any victories, and tackle any new situations or concerns. Likewise, in order to keep you moving forward in your progress, you’ll also have support in the form of:
- Daily habits and lifestyle check-ins
- Vocal exercises
- Communications exercises
- Guided inquiry and discussion
4. Private online folder with detailed client notes, and milestone tracker.
You’ll have a super convenient Google Drive folder with all your important stuff in it, including meeting notes, and milestone tracker.
5. Any additional books, resources, practice materials and exercises.
I’ll also source and provide any additional info and materials we need to maximize our work together.
6. (1) 90-min closing session.
We’ll review and celebrate your progress, clarify anything you need to continue your practice going forward, and talk about any necessary next steps or future support you’ll need.

Sure! To clarify things a bit, confident self-expression is a richly layered concept that impacts almost every area of a person’s life. Maybe you feel unsure of yourself in your new role at work, or perhaps you need to have a difficult conversation with your loved one and you feel uncomfortable or can’t find the words. Maybe you want to lead your team with a combination of warmth and authority, or perhaps you just want to give your next tech talk without passing out in front of your boss.

Rather than sign up sight-unseen, it’s helpful for the client to have an actual chat with their future coach, and it’s also nice for the coach to have a chat with their future client.
